Resident Evil 4: PLATINUM App Reviews

Re4 is easily one of last generations greatest games and can hold its own agaisnt most wii games today. Never could I have imagined it coming to my iPod. What might be even more shocking is how well it performs. Graphics are stunning and the gameplay responsive. A must buy for fans of the genre!

To be candid, I actually like the core gameplay mechanics. Its hard porting a game like RE4 to a touchscreen device, but they did a decent enough job and its fun as a result. However, with the last few updates theyve added advertisements into the game and for something that cost $4.99 I dont think that is acceptable. If the game were much cheaper or free then I wouldnt have a problem. However, I bought the game at full price and would prefer to have my game ad free. I suppose you could call this a protest review.

Good game but need outfits for Leon and Ashley and could use a couple other guns. Better retna display for iPhone 4 and just touch ups

For uts price its definitely worth it! Definitely delivers the RE4 feel!

Horrible controls and story. Didnt put much effort into making this at all. Save your money for Dead Space, way better iPhone game

Its a lot of fun, though the gameplay can be tough at times. By the way, I really would love to see Breath Of Fire III on the App Store, I hope you release it, Capcom!!!!!!

The game is a fun Ipod conversion of Resident Evil 4. The only problems I have with the game are the controls can be frustrating sometimes, and the story is abridged pretty badly. Introductions for characters are left out, and when they appear in the game characters, the dilalog talks like they know him already, (which they do, but those scenes and levels were left out), so some things will not make sense because of that, making not friendly to people who havent played the original game beucase you dont the full story. You get maybe 50-60% of it. A few more game modes such as Merchanary Mode, would be nice. Something where you can just shoot zombies untill you die. Overall though, the game is well made. Graphics are nice, and has clean audio and video clips from the game. Again, only complaint is that the story is abridged.

different type to shooting game, people might not like the stop-aim-shoot gameplay. for items, you have to run over and pick them up. really?!? which items do you NOT want to pickup? make it an auto pickup so it doesnt slow down the gameplay.. the good-nice game play, hasnt crashed on me yet its not a bad battery drain like other games the bad-the enemies sometimes blend with the environment, especially the chainsaw guy you have to wait for the guy to stand up and start walking towards you again to damage them. I would like to shoot and damage them while they are down.

....remake RE2 for the iPhone? Hm?

Best game on my ipod

I thought this was a portable RE4? They took out the cutscenes, deleted whole areas, crippled exploration, and Capcom has the nerve to call it a "platinum version". Maybe an ok game in its own right, but most certainly NOT what i payed for, and am very disappointed :-(

I love resident evil 4 and think you did a wonderfull job putting it on ios, however, I would really appreciate and update containing lots of the missing parts of the game like the graveyard and other parts. I would also love to see all the weapons (other pistols and shotguns ect. That are in the real game.

There needs to be different controls and you need to be able to move while aiming down sights

Its a very good game, good graphics, even if this is not the actual re4 game its still pretty cool

This is an awesome game and one of my favs. But their should be an update to make just like the console version with cutscenes, all of the guns, free roaming, and the other levels like the fish boss (del lago I think its called)

Mercenaries is really boring! Add the character choice and put in a bunch of other stuff from the console!

Resident evil is an amazing game,on the console of course although if your on the go or traveling and you dont have youre console iOS has it,not the greatest but its close.
